Mon histoire avec Ranch 999 a commencé quand mon père et moi avons remarqué Jérôme entraîner deux pouliches dans le ring près de chez nous et sommes tombé en amour avec une d’entre elle, Chili ( PEPPYS LIL LADY). Nous avons regardé Jérôme la travailler pendant plusieurs heures en apprenant à chaque minute de nouvelles choses. Jérôme est un entraîneur très calme et très à l’écoute des chevaux tout au long. J’ai pu remarquer la confiance que Chili avait pour Jérôme et le lien qu’ils avaient ensemble. Jérôme a réussi à m’enseigner et me faire participer à chacune des étape qu’il faut effectuer pour débourrer un jeune cheval tout en dressant Chili en même temps, ce que peu d’entraîneurs font. Jérôme a réussi à faire un cheval sécuritaire et bien dans sa tête en seulement 5 mois sans mettre aucune pression. Beaucoup de gens pensent qu’il faut dominer le cheval et lui montrer qui est le « boss » mais Jérôme ne travail pas de cet manière, mais plutôt qu’il faut travailler en équipe. Il se soucie de la sécurité de Chili et de la mienne après la vente en nous encadrant pendant les 8 mois suivant en m’aidant à continuer le travail avec Chili. Le Ranch 999 est comme ma deuxième famille. Nous avons toujours beaucoup de plaisirs. C’est certainement aussi l’endroit qui m’a fait le plus évoluer et apprendre. Aujourd’hui j’ai une jument en or qui est réactive à chacune de mes demande, en santé et qui est prête mentalement à chacun défi que je pourrais lui demander. Pour finir, je sais que je pourrai toujours compter sur Teresa et Jérôme dans l’avenir si il nous arrive quoi que se soit.

Jerome and Teresa helped me with two of my mares, Misty, a 4 year old Arabian mare, and Kiara, a 4 year old Quarter Horse mare. Misty, typical of her breed, was very sensitive and intelligent. Past experiences with previous owners had left her suspicious and anxious. Less than an hour into her training session, Teresa had Misty loading calmly into the trailer when she had previously been refusing to load. Jerome began working with her and started her under saddle. Both Teresa and Jerome’s training and energy with Misty allowed her to overcome her mistrust of people. They were able to ride her through fields and on trails at all gaits and she became a lovely riding horse.

Kiara had been started by another trainer and then was left to sit due to a lack of time. She became aggressive towards people and difficult to handle. Jerome and Teresa took over her training and got her restarted and going well under saddle. Teresa and Jerome are great with horses, regardless of breed or temperament. They never use abusive techniques and have the horse’s welfare front of mind.

Over the course of about a year, Jérôme worked with my horse, Trixie, and me to deepen our relationship and better our communication with each other. Jérôme demonstrated exceptional communication skills with both humans and horses. He was patient, consistent, and clear with both of us. Jérôme took pride in his work, demonstrating a high level of professionalism. He is a trainer you can count on, not only for his skill with horses, but also for his quality of character.

My vet recommended Teresa when I was searching for a trainer to help me start my 4 year-old Andalusian mare, Zaya. Zaya is a very sensitive and intelligent young mare with a huge heart, and I wanted her to be trained with respect. I am a fan of relational horsemanship (but definitely not a trainer) and I wasn’t happy (neither was Zaya) with two previous traditional trainers. Basically, Zaya obeyed them out of fear but did not learn much. Therefore, when Teresa began training her, she had to undo this disconnect and lack of trust before she began backing her. Teresa was wonderful with Zaya. Her approach to training is calm, patient, and clear, helping Zaya become much more confident in humans and herself. I think the outstanding characteristic of Teresa’s training style is respect for the horse. Zaya literally blossomed with this approach, learned very quickly and softened. Teresa recognized that my relationship with my horse was as important as the work she was putting into Zaya for our future success, and so Simultaneous to training Zaya, she took time to explain everything she was doing, facilitated groundwork sessions between Zaya and me, and providing instruction for my first rides on Zaya. Teresa also gave me riding lessons on my older mare, Carmie, to ensure I was the best rider possible for my young horse. Under Teresa’s training, Zaya had an age-appropriate start, being secure under saddle in all three gaits, accepting contact, and a pleasure to handle on the ground. I would recommend Teresa for anyone looking for a trainer to give their young horse a force-free and confident start.Description goes here

J'ai envoyé ma jument en débourrage avec Jérôme et Teresa. Je n'ai que de bons commentaires sur les services reçus. Ce sont des gens passionnés qui connaissent les chevaux. Des installations sécuritaires qui misent sur le bien être du cheval tout au long du séjour de l'entraînement. Les méthodes d'entraînement utilisées sont dans le respect du cheval, c'est un entraînement qui est clair et sans conflits pour le cheval. Vous êtes impliqués tout au long du processus pour apprendre et suivre la progression de votre cheval, pour bien comprendre les méthodes et les exercices et être en mesure de les appliquer de votre côté par la suite.

Il est facile de s'y perdre lorsqu'on cherche un entraîneur, il y a tellement d'offres, tellement de pseudos entraîneurs qui risquent plus de scraper votre cheval et de faire n'importe quoi... Avec Jerôme et Teresa, vous êtes entre bonnes mains. De l'expertise et un service professionnel comme ça méritent d'être soulignés. Vous pouvez leur faire confiance les yeux fermés !
