Horse Boarding at Ranch 999
Horses Living Like Horses
-
Herd Life
Horses are social animals and require regular physical contact with other horses. We work hard to ensure every horse is turned out with at least one other horse. Social housing is backed by science as being the most beneficial to horse welfare.
-
Open Air
Horses at Ranch 999 live outside 24/7 with constant access to fresh water, quality forage (pasture grass in summer and round bales in winter), shelter, and other horses. We believe strongly that outdoor housing promotes healthy minds and bodies.
-
Develop
In order to deepen your relationship with your horse, you need access to safe spaces to work together. With an indoor arena and dozens of kilometres of riding trails, you can enjoy your horse in all weather.
What We Offer
-
Horses live in small social groupings in large paddocks with access to a shelter. Water is provided through an automatic drinking post that never freezes.
-
Pasture grazing available in the summer and round bales of high quality grass hay grown on site is offered the rest of the year.
-
A riding dome is available to boarders during operating hours. The arena is 70’x150’.
-
Boarders have access to the 180 acre property to ride through the hay fields, cow pastures, and maple forest. The property is nestled into the hills surrounding L’Avenir, offering ample opportunities for hill work.
-
Boarding your horse at Ranch 999 means you have access to two horse trainers at all times for advice and training support.
-
With over 40 years of combined horse experience all over the world in multiple disciplines, the owners of Ranch 999 are knowledgable barn managers. Any unusual behaviour, symptoms of disease, and injuries will not go unnoticed and supportive care will be offered.
-
Ranch 999’s location is beautiful with rolling hills, a large maple forest, and a vineyard on site. As a working cattle farm, Ranch 999 also offers the opportunity to work cows with your horse with the support of the Ranch 999 trainers.
